Diane N. Whipple

Our mother’s wish was to help find a cure and alternative treatment for sarcoma patients. This form of cancer is minimally researched and underfunded in the cancer community and as Diane’s wish, we would like to raise funds in her honor to help find a cure.

Diane Novotny Whipple, 55, passed away after an 11-month battle with a rare uterine sarcoma.

Diane was well-known for her charisma, humor, and energetic approach towards life. She was a supportive and loving mother who prioritized her family above all. She made a point to attend every activity, program, or sporting event that her children were a part of. Diane was actively involved with a number of community & school organizations, including: Pleasant Ridge Woman’s Club; Ferndale High School Soccer Boosters; Ferndale PTA; Roeper Athletic Boosters; Roeper Home Field Advantage Committee; and the Pleasant Ridge Foundation, where she served as Auction Chairman for 5 years. Diane worked for many years as a sales & marketing executive in the insurance industry, most recently transitioning into marketing management in the technology field.
