Your contribution to the SFA will impact lives like that of 12-year-old Mathias. His main goal is to beat osteosarcoma and get back on the soccer field with his buddies! With your help, he can! The Sarcoma Foundation of America exists to find new and better treatments for patients just like Mathias. Staying focused and upbeat after two surgeries to the lungs to remove metastatic tumors, and what will be a total of 21 rounds of chemotherapy, Mathias embodies the hope of the 50,000 people living with sarcoma today. With the tumor located in his right leg below the knee, Mathias’ family was forced to make the grim decision to amputate. Yet, Mathias is more “can do” than ever. He is determined to live an active lifestyle that definitely includes rejoining his teammates!
