Songs for a Sarcoma Cure

Every year, high school seniors in Cherokee County, Georgia are required to do a senior project. Most kids will do a easy project, for an easy grade; however, I wanted to do a project that meant something to me and would give back to the community!

My mother, Dawn Flores, has Sarcoma which is a rare cancer.  I want to raise money for The Sarcoma Foundation of America which funds research for this relatively unknown disease.

For my project, I plan to hold a small benefit concert with music from five local bands, on April 10, 2010 from 12:30 - 7pm at Lee Newton Park in Jasper, GA.  The park is located a 500 Stegall Drive in Jasper.  All proceeds will benefit the SFA. Tickets are $4 pre-sale and $5 at the door.
