WOD-A-THON
Dec 15, 2012 • Florida
The WOD-a-THON will take place on December 15th from 8:00 am-5:00 pm at CrossFit Muscle Farm to benefit SFA.
Heidi Meyers has teamed up with CrossFit Muscle Farm for this fundraiser in honor of her father Paul Meyers, who was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma cancer on October 30, 2010. For the next 16 months, he fought his disease by subjecting himself to painful and difficult treatments with a smile and a positive attitude- his glass was always half full, and most days, overflowing. Heidi started CrossFit soon after her father’s diagnosis. During the difficult workouts, Heidi found strength in the positive energy and determination her father constantly displayed during his battle. While her father took great pride in being her biggest fan, he forever became inspiration.

What is the WOD-a-THON?
The WOD-a-THON was inspired by the basic concept of a telethon to demonstrate how we can unite together as one family to aid and raise awareness for The Sarcoma Foundation of America in our local community. B2B Barbell Club and CrossFit Muscle Farm decided to take it back to the basics and inspire our community to show support for this cause. The WOD-a-THON as a competition will be a true test of CrossFit and fitness for athletes of all skill levels. Our goal is to make this event an innovative way to bring a community together for an amazing cause.
