AVE8062 for Soft Tissue Sarcoma

Sanofi aventis recently initiated a Phase III clinical trial for AVE8062 in patients with advanced-stage soft tissue sarcoma. AVE8062 (combretastatin derivative)  is a new vascular disruptive agent. Over recent years, in single agent and combination studies AVE8062 has been shown to dramatically decrease the tumor blood flow, resulting in anti-tumor efficacy, mainly in combination.
