Because of the grassroots nature of the SFA, we are relying on your local ingenuity to develop ideas for fundraising for sarcoma research. Rest assured that we will help facilitate your efforts so that you can have a successful event! Possible fundraising ideas include a cocktail reception, happy hour, wine tasting, bowling tournament, lemonade stand, garage sale, car wash, local run/walk, golf tournament, or gala.
Below is a list of upcoming fundraising events throughout the U.S. that are raising vital funds for sarcoma research. Please get involved!

Sing Me the Songs: Celebrating the Works of Kate McGarrigle, a new album featuring highlights from three concerts in honor of the late Kate McGarrigle, the beloved singer and Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame member, is out now on Nonesuch Records. After McGarrigle died of sarcoma, in 2010, her children—the acclaimed musicians Rufus and Martha Wainwright—and her sister and musical partner Anna McGarrigle led tribute concerts in London, Toronto, and New York. The 2-CD set, which the Guardian called “glorious,” features performances by Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Anna McGarrigle, Emmylou Harris, Antony, Norah Jones, Teddy Thompson, and others.
Net proceeds from all sales of the album go to the Kate McGarrigle Foundation for sarcoma research.

The New York tribute concerts were filmed for the feature documentary Sing Me the Songs That Say I Love You: A Concert for Kate McGarrigle, directed by Lian Lunson. Here is a clip from the film of the song “I Am a Diamond,” featuring Martha and Rufus Wainwright:
The Pylian “Pristine” Difference
We are a small family maker that controls the oil from our trees in Greece all the way into our bottles.
All of oil is labeled with its exact harvest and press date to ensure freshness. Harvested and pressed within 24 hours!
The exact location of our trees and oil is also noted! Pylias, Greece on the southwestern tip of the Peloponnesian Peninsula in Greece’s premier olive growing region.
Single varietal oil from the Koroneiki olive. Never blended with other oils.
Processed without heat or chemicals and unfiltered, our oil retains all of the natural polyphenols and anti-oxidants.
The acidity is clearly stated. High quality oils should always be below .08 percent—we are .03%.
We bottle in dark glass to protect the oil from direct light. We suggest you store it away from direct heat as well.
Our bottles come with a re-sealable cork to keep air out in between uses. To prevent oxidization and rancidity.
Flavor—Taste the Pristine Difference!!
For every bottle ordered from this page, we will donate $10 per bottle to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Thanks for supporting such a great cause with us!
