Because of the grassroots nature of the SFA, we are relying on your local ingenuity to develop ideas for fundraising for sarcoma research. Rest assured that we will help facilitate your efforts so that you can have a successful event! Possible fundraising ideas include a cocktail reception, happy hour, wine tasting, bowling tournament, lemonade stand, garage sale, car wash, local run/walk, golf tournament, or gala.
Below is a list of upcoming fundraising events throughout the U.S. that are raising vital funds for sarcoma research. Please get involved!
Event Time: Registration starts at 12:30pm

This is the second annual Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma Golf Outing. The event is being held to help bring about awareness and the symptoms of sarcoma. Golf is a scramble event, with a semi-formal dinner to follow, with prizes and a brief introduction to sarcoma from local physicians from university of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
We are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Swing Against Sarcoma, Bud Lawall Memorial Golf Outing, which will be held on September 20, 2014, at the Bucks Club in Jamison, PA. Harry “Bud” Lawall Jr. was a man like no other. He was an orthotist/prosthetist by trade, but also carpenter, fisherman, golfer, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Let’s continue to follow Bud’s words of wisdom, “Keep your head up.”
The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) was established as a 501(c)3 charitable organization in 2001 to advocate for increased research to find new and better therapies with which to treat patients with sarcoma. In partnership with the Siteman Cancer Center, the SFA will be kicking off the inaugural 1st Annual St. Louis Cure Sarcoma 5K Walk/Run.
The St. Louis Cure Sarcoma 5K Walk/Run, and events like it around the country, have played a significant role in SFA’s ability to invest over $5 million toward sarcoma research, advocacy and education. You can make a positive impact toward the cure for sarcoma by registering to participate in 2014 inaugural event! We will see you there!
The mission of the St. Louis Cure Sarcoma 5K Run/Walk is to create awareness about this extremely rare disease, generate funding for much needed research and provide a place for families impacted by sarcoma to meet. The 1st Annual STLCS race will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at 9:00 AM (Check-in at 7:30 AM). 100% of the proceeds from this event will benefit research for this often aggressive cancer. The proceeds will be split evenly between the Sarcoma Foundation of America and Siteman Cancer Center for local sarcoma research conducted by Brian Van Tine, MD, PhD.
To all of my family and friends,
I was diagnosed on October 5, 2009, with a retroperitoneal liposarcoma. I had surgery to remove it and since then feel so blessed that was my only treatment. I do have a recurrence now, but feel that with close observation and more surgery all will be well. I want to give back and do something for those who are struggling so much more with this cancer. On October 5, 2014, Mike LaSalle of LaSalle MMA has graciously agreed to hold a fundraiser for me and donate all proceeds to Sarcoma Foundation of America. There needs to be not only more awareness of this awful cancer, but more funding for research. I hope you can come out and join us to kick some butt and kick out sarcoma! There will be a kickboxing class and a self defense class. If you are not able to attend, please consider a donation online. Much thanks to all of you!
Love, Hugs and Kisses,
Let’s kick out sarcoma! Come to La Salle MMA on Sunday, October 5, 2014, from 2-4 for kickboxing and self-defense classes.
Located at 4207 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY

The Pylian “Pristine” Difference
We are a small family maker that controls the oil from our trees in Greece all the way into our bottles.
All of oil is labeled with its exact harvest and press date to ensure freshness. Harvested and pressed within 24 hours!
The exact location of our trees and oil is also noted! Pylias, Greece on the southwestern tip of the Peloponnesian Peninsula in Greece’s premier olive growing region.
Single varietal oil from the Koroneiki olive. Never blended with other oils.
Processed without heat or chemicals and unfiltered, our oil retains all of the natural polyphenols and anti-oxidants.
The acidity is clearly stated. High quality oils should always be below .08 percent—we are .03%.
We bottle in dark glass to protect the oil from direct light. We suggest you store it away from direct heat as well.
Our bottles come with a re-sealable cork to keep air out in between uses. To prevent oxidization and rancidity.
Flavor—Taste the Pristine Difference!!
For every bottle ordered from this page, we will donate $10 per bottle to the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Thanks for supporting such a great cause with us!
