Amanda Holbrook

Amanda was my best friend. She and I grew up together in South Carolina, becoming friends in the 7th grade. I introduced her to her husband in high school.

In 2011, she saved my life by driving me to the hospital when I had anaphylaxis. I had hoped to return the favor for her when she was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in 2015. She fought hard and with such a positive attitude until the very end, when she passed on September 10, 2018.

I want this page to be a testament to her faith, bravery, and strong will. She believed that you must advocate for your health and make it easier for others to receive the help and support they need. I hope that her story will inspire more people to get involved in sarcoma research. — Katie
