Carey Bowman

Carey Michael Bowman, 28, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by abundant love as he moved on to his eternal home in Heaven.

Carey was born September 17, 1988, to Rex and Jennifer Kahn Bowman. He went on to graduate Salutatorian from his High School class, and joined the Air Force as a young man. During his time in the military, Carey honorably served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, met and married his wife, started a beautiful family, and earned his Bachelor’s degree. He enjoyed good literature, good music, and could spout off just about any baseball statistic imaginable. His smile was bright and his joy was contagious. Carey was passionate about serving Christ, loving others, and the Chicago Cubs.

He is survived by is beloved wife, Patty Jo; sons, Elijah Rex and Carver Steven; parents, Rex and Jennifer Bowman; brother, Cody Bowman; as well as several other loving family members and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials in Carey’s name be made to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
