George Laudenberger

On Friday, August 30, 2019, George Laudenberger of Mercerville, NJ passed away at age 72 on his 50th wedding anniversary surrounded by his family and best friend of 66 years. His proudest accomplishment was his family and he was a regular in the stands of any sporting event that they participated in. All that met him enjoyed his stories and seemed to find a seat in the stands next to him, likely hearing how he coached the 1997 Hamilton Girls Softball Association (HGSA) team to a 4th place National Babe Ruth finish in Benson, Missouri. He was the rock of our family. George, Dad, and Pop-Pop was the glue of our family. He lost his 11 month battle to retroperitoneal liposarcoma on August 30. In his mind there was always a solution to a problem in order to turn a “negative into a positive.” In light of his quote, we hope that donations will change the face of this disease with a future cure being the ultimate positive for others. He was loved by so many and impacted the lives of everyone he came into contact with. We are forever grateful for the years we had with him, his impact and gift of family.
