Glenn Wright Jr

Glenn was born on January 23, 1991. He passed away on June 25, 2013, after a short but very vigorously fought battle. He was always the person in the room who would do anything to make you laugh or smile. He was not only my big brother but also my best friend. He lived 22.5 years, which was no where near long enough for him to do all of the things he wanted to do. He had so many big plans, he aspired to be a writer and see the world. My life is much less bright without him. Country artist Brantley Gilbert’s lyrics to the song below say this so accurately:

One Hell of an Amen
Doctor said he ain’t got long
He just smiled said bring it on
Well if you think I’m scared
You got me all wrong
No a little cancer can’t break me
My heart’s right and I believe
We all hit our knees
And started prayin’
Naw he never gave up
Said the good Lord’s waitin’
And that’s one hell of an amen
That’s the only way to go
Fightin’ the good fight
Til the good Lord calls you home
So be well my friend
‘Til I see you again
Yeah this is our last goodbye
It’s a hell of an amen
