Helga Licursi
Helga Licursi was born on March 2, 1940, and passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Antonio (Tony), daughters Michele Britton and Christina Licursi, and granddaughter Ava Britton. She is predeceased by her father, Hermann Rippe and her mother, Irmgard Gohr Rippe, both of Germany.
Born in Salzburg, Austria, she was raised in Germany, where she and her children often visited. She immigrated to Connecticut in 1963 with the intention of staying for a year and learning the language; instead, she met Tony in English school, fell in love and married. They settled in Stamford, where they lived for almost 50 years and raised their family. She worked at Clairol in Stamford, for 35 years, where she made hair dye and she made co-workers smile. They moved to Southbury, in 2012. She devoted her life to her family, whom she deeply adored. She exuded strength and kindness, and for so many, she was a touchstone. She will be missed deeply by family and friends alike, and by her dog Kayla, whom she loved so very much.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations made in Helga’s memory to the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
