Marge Silva

Marge Silva passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, in Rancho Cordova, CA. She was 87 years old and she had lived in Livermore for 40 years before she moved to Elk Grove, CA, during the mid-1990s.

Marge was born on January 13, 1930, during a bad blizzard in Gorman, South Dakota. She was employed by Pacific Bell, Lawrence Radiation Laboratory, Coast Manufacturing, and Hexcel Corporation, which had acquired Coast Manufacturing. She retired from Hexcel in the mid-1990s. After she “retired,” she moved to Elk Grove and worked part-time for the Elk Grove School District.

She enjoyed traveling, shopping, her family, attending plays and horse races, and entertaining family and cooking family dinners. She also enjoyed attending Lutheran church services and bible studies.

Donations to the Sarcoma Foundation of America are to honor Marge’s helpful and kind son-in-law, Denny Smith, who passed away from sarcoma on March 7, 2017.  Denny used to help Marge set up her Christmas tree, prepare her tax returns, and help her with several other chores.
