Michael John “Bean” Wenger

candleOn February 26, 2016, age 40, of Heidelberg, is now at peace after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

A graduate of Carlynton High School, Michael was an avid Steelers fan and held season tickets for 14 years. He loved his job with Duquesne Light Company and looked forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day every year. Michael enjoyed fishing from his boat on Pymatuning Lake, but most of all, he loved spending time at his second home, his family’s camp in Pymatuning.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wenger. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of six months, Kristin L. (Mitchell) Wenger; mother, Midge; sister, Tracy; and two nephews, Robby and John Michael; a father- in-law, John Mitchell; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Shellie Mitchell; niece, Jordyn Mitchell; his “dream dog” Dutch; and his “tremendous group of friends;” two aunts, Betty Langhurst and Lori Boyer; an uncle, Butch Grabel and his wife, Kim; and several close cousins.

All donations in Michael’s name will be credited to the 2016 Pittsburgh Cure Sarcoma 5K Run/Walk.
