Phil Appleton

Phil embraced life since the time he was born, always fully involved and fully present in multiple endeavors, a trait that served him well as a student at the University of Illinois in Champaign and then at Bosch, where he was an automotive specialist. Dearly loved by his large family, he also had a massive network of friends; Phil never met a stranger. When he found out he had a variant of Ewings Sarcoma, called CIC-DUX4, he jumped into fighting it head on with determination and good cheer, all the way up to the moment he passed away. His absence has taken our breath away but in typical Phil fashion, we would like to fight against this disease to the best of our ability. Thank you for all you do!
