Robert Thomas Rogers

Father, friend, lover, co-worker, jokester – Robert T. Rogers was all of those things. Before all else, however, he was a man. He was a man with a plan.

Robert’s plan? To bring happiness into a world that had chewed him up and spit him back out without apology. Robert fulfilled this plan day in and day out – from taking his son around the country to cheer him on at baseball tryouts, to waking up at 5 am with a silly grin on his face, ready to go help bake pastries for charity. Robert gave, and gave, and continued to give up until his last day, even in the face of the world and the sarcoma taking and taking and taking from him until his time on this earth was no more.

Robert’s contributions to this world will be missed, and his presence will be felt every single day.  Sarcoma has affected the lives of Robert’s friends and family in a harrowing way that cannot be articulated – but the good that he put into this world will work to outweigh the pain caused by his loss.
