Laura Elizabeth Manikas

Laura Elizabeth Manikas (Cottrell), age 56, a longtime resident of Lockport and Homer Glen, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and children on Saturday, March 11, 2017.

She is survived by her loving family; husband George Manikas; children Stephanie, Emily and George Manikas; brother Bill (Stephanie) Cottrell and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Jean (Hartmann) Cottrell and brothers Jim (Maria) and Richard Cottrell. Laura was a member of the First Congregation Church in Lockport where she was a Sunday School Teacher, the Christian Education Director and Administrative Assistant, she loved being a swim and baseball mom and enjoyed starting her mornings walking the track with her friends at Lockport High School.
