Cindy began working at the SFA in 2006. She has a passion for helping others, especially those affected by cancer. She knows firsthand how quickly a cancer diagnosis can negatively affect someone’s life.
Cindy’s mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in May 2018 and sadly passed away shortly after in August 2018. Then in November 2018, she herself was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Thankfully it was caught early, but it still resulted in a full thyroidectomy that comes with its own set of issues.
Originally from West Virginia, Cindy moved to the DC area in 1996. She currently resides in Mount Airy, MD, with her husband, three adult children, son-in-law, grandson and two dogs. Aside from spending time with her family, Cindy enjoys music, attending concerts/music festivals, sightseeing/traveling, and photography.
