Daniel McGourty

Dan was diagnosed in April 2016 with Ewing’s Sarcoma, after being sent home from deployment for severe pain in the left thigh. We were optimistic. Dan did countless rounds of chemo, underwent 3 major surgeries, and endured so much radiation I swear he glowed in the dark. He did all this and still continued to smile. He was a cherished son, hell of a friend, the greatest father, the love of my life, and one damn good golfer and pilot!

Dan leaves behind a legacy, 3 beautiful children. In addition, he has donated his body to science in hopes to help find a cure for this devastating disease. His further hopes were that people would donate to a cause that would continue to lead research in the right direction.
