Sarcoma Awareness Month Social Media Toolkit
During July, the sarcoma community unites together for Sarcoma Awareness Month to bring more attention to the needs of sarcoma patients, survivors, and their families. Though the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA) works tirelessly every day to raise awareness, during Sarcoma Awareness Month we aim to further highlight the need for more sarcoma research and better sarcoma therapies. Please join us in our efforts to raise more awareness!
One way to raise sarcoma awareness is by spreading the word through social media. Social media can be a powerful tool to share your story and make an impact. To make things easier, SFA has prepared this social media toolkit with helpful tips, sample posts, and hashtags you can use to garner more attention.
Social Media Tips
Share your story – Why do you care about sarcoma awareness? Use your social media platforms to share parts of your sarcoma story.
Include images or video – Posts with photos, videos, or other graphics get more attention than posts that only contain text. Make a bigger impact by including imagery that helps to tell the story of why you care. SFA has a collection of graphics that you can share with your posts. Advocate for sarcoma – Want to educate policymakers or the media on the needs of the sarcoma patients and survivors? Is there someone else who you think would like to get involved or who could aide in efforts to make a difference? Tag them in your posts to let them know why they need to pay attention to sarcoma community.
Share SFA’s Sarcoma Awareness Month posts – Throughout July, SFA will be sharing info and ways to be involved and advocate on behalf of the sarcoma community on all of our social media platforms. Be sure to follow SFA and share our posts as a way of spreading the word with others.
Use hashtags – During Sarcoma Awareness Month, SFA will be using #SarcomaAwareness on all of our social media posts. Please use this hashtag on your posts so we follow your sarcoma awareness month activities.
Share your content with SFA – SFA would love to see all of the great content that you share on your social media accounts. Be sure to tag us so we can share your posts with others! SFA can be found at @curesarcoma on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Facebook Social Media Profile Frame
One way that you can spread awareness all month long is by using one of SFA’s Sarcoma Awareness Month profile frame. There are two new profile frames for Sarcoma Awareness Month.
Click on the frame you would like to use. You will be taken to Facebook’s profile picture frame page where you can add it to your profile photo.
